and it doesn't make things easier that I actually saw this one coming and did make a backup, only to discover that my backup drive was also faulty.
Well...it's going to take me a while to get back up on my feet again. I'm probably going to have to re-do all my little projects and stuff...

Use cloud / online backup! SKydrive | Dropbox etc...
The cloud can handle only so much data... just kidding.
I do not think that with these ridiculous internet connections that cloud computing is much of an option for us yet. We need better unlimited packages for that sort of thing to become viable, especially for somebody who would exchange a LOT of data like myself.
anywho, I just lost a lot of picture. There're plenty of distributed copies of those so no worries there I guess.
Yo dude! thats not what I meant by cloud thing! ( the cloud can be used as a way of taking backup ) I backup important docs to skydrive! (sync) ( well skydrive not so much cloud computing ) keke :D
not what I meant either. I meant that I have a LOT of "important documents" that I'm continuously using and updating and stuff and hence keeping them synced to the cloud would take up a lotta bandwidth...which is..ridiculously expensive.
So use another Hard drive ( backup Drive ) XD Surely not expensive! and no bandwidth thing to worry about ( slow uploads / sync )!
