and so dict-radheef was born.... (bear with me)
a screenshot should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
now isn't that just dandy?
Anyway I've put it all together in a neat little deb file for you kids to install. It should tell you all the dependencies and stuff. Grab it..install it..voila.
Setup
at this time, you'll need to setup a DICT server on your local machine (or intranet..however you wanna roll) if you're installing from the deb, it should grab all the necessities for you, and all you have to do is point gnome-dictionary to the local DICT server.
do do this, go to edit->preferences and click "add". Enter whatever in the fields except hostname. HOSTNAME: 127.0.0.1 and that's it.
for you hardcore types.

is this linux only? what about windows users? the majority of maldivian people use windows only
Nice work!
well it should be nice since YOU did most of the work for me. I got the data from the csv you posted, ran it through a script that uses YOUR thaana conversion class :)
@Anonymous#2
no this is not linux only. You can setup a dict server and find dict clients for windows as well. I'm trying to setup a server for this soon, that way you guys will only need a client and access it online :)
This is absolutely wonderful. I've been using this since the first time you posted it on the moss mailing list about an year ago and loved it. I like how the word suggestion now works although I wish that it did work even when nothing is matched...
Yes I'll be working on that for a next release. I'm doing some basic research into Dhivehi's lexicon and look into semantics and see if I can start a project for a semantic database something along the lines of...say..wordnet.
Nice work dude. Have to get a new n bigger HDD for my mac to test Linux versions...
